Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures.
• Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard a family-centric culture.
• Assist Field Supervisors and Lead Technicians with planning material acquisition and scheduling projects.
• Provide ongoing leadership, supervision, and guidance to all levels of field staff.
• Support Field Supervisor and Lead Technician meetings/trainings to comply with industry codes/standards and installation practices.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and the Sales Team to ensure codes, standards, and customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Work with the P6 Master Scheduler to maintain accurate budgeted resources and schedules in accordance with bid and actual performance.
• Conduct frequent quality site walks to verify construction activities meet the E2 Optics Quality Management Plan and client specifications.
• Proactively strategize, allocate, and lead job site resource organization.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor by leading by example in safety, quality, and Core Values.
• Develop and enhance data center technical training, SOPs, and work instructions to ensure compliance with the E2 Optics Quality Plan, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with the project team to create and define methods to improve project efficiencies and increase profitability.
• Create the framework for project metrics and manage data collection.
• Drive continuous improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the site to align with corporate strategic goals.
• Minimal overnight travel (5%) may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; GED or equivalent accepted. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar preferred.
• BICSI Certified Technician preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction (structured cabling experience preferred).
• Experience in the large data center infrastructure industry, including knowledge of technology, quality, and safety standards.
• Minimum 3 years of supervision and/or training experience, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Knowledge of general building codes and BICSI Standards.
• PMI CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) designation.
• Fiber Optic Association: CPCT certification.
• Exceptional decision-making authority regarding procedures, plans, and schedules.
• Ability to support Field Supervisors in leading, developing, and managing field employees.
• Strong ability to elicit cooperation and interact effectively with upper management, clients, contractors, vendors, and other departments.
• Strong documentation and administrative skills.
• Ability to learn and support new and rapidly changing technologies.
• Ability to research applicable information to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to work within deadlines while maintaining high work quality, including prioritizing and multi-tasking effectively.
• Professional manner and appearance.
• Ability to manage construction budgets in accordance with project bid and PM expectations.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoor business office and construction site. The noise level is usually moderate. This role requires:

• Sitting, use of hands and arms, and verbal communication.
• Occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Regularly carrying and climbing ladders up to 20 feet.
• Ability to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required.
• Potential work in tight and confined spaces.
