Project Superintendent
About the role
Tusco is looking for an experienced Project Superintendent to join our growing team and lead field operations on projects across the country. At Tusco, the work we do has a purpose. Our perimeter security solutions help protect people, critical infrastructure, government and military facilities, data centers, and other high-security environments across the country. As a Project Superintendent, you'll play an important role in bringing those solutions to life in the field. You'll serve as a key onsite leader, partnering with Project Managers and Crew Superintendents to drive the successful execution of projects from start to finish. You'll coordinate operations, lead multiple crews, maintain schedules and production goals, and ensure every project is completed safely and to the high standards our customers depend on.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate field operations across multiple crews and work areas
- Partner with Project Managers on schedules, production, budgets, and weekly work activities
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules and three-week lookahead plans
- Monitor daily production goals, identify potential roadblocks, and help develop solutions to keep projects on track
- Coordinate tradespeople, subcontractors, professionals, and labor teams
- Enforce site safety requirements and lead safety and quality-control meetings and inspections
- Track jobsite activity, conditions, delays, and production through accurate daily reporting
- Coordinate materials, equipment, supplies, and deliveries to support project schedules
- Ensure field work complies with drawings, specifications, submittals, contract requirements, and applicable regulations
- Proactively identify and communicate conditions that could impact scope, schedule, production, or budget
- Collaborate with Project Managers, GCs, clients, owners, architects, engineers, government officials, and subcontractors
- Serve as a primary point of contact for field-related questions and decisions
Requirements
- 5-10 years of construction supervision experience
- Strong field leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing project schedules, production, safety, quality, and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, plans and project specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and Teams
- Procore and Bluebeam experience preferred
- OSHA 30 or equivalent; current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience operating construction equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, forklifts, and man lifts
- Perimeter security, force protection, fencing, or barricade experience is a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel 100%

This is a 100% travel position, offering the opportunity to lead projects at job sites across the country. The Project Superintendent will be provided a company vehicle and requires a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
