About the role
Responsible for providing support to the Design and Engineering department to ensure successful completion of park projects on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Maintains capital project documentation as required by United Parks and Resorts Capital Control Policy.
- Assists Project Managers in tracking capital spending for multiple projects to ensure budgets and deadlines are met.
- New project creation in SAP, tracking, closeout and permit coordination support.
- Identify assets that are affected by capital spending and documents removal/impairment.
- Work with the park finance team to take over monthly closing reports for park capital expenditures.
- Work with the different teams to complete monthly accruals of capital costs as required by company controls.
- Ensure capital project closings occur with company defined timeframes.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports for Corporate Finance.
- Prepare project contract documents such as invitation to bid, RFQs and actual contractor bid breakdowns for all major projects and coordinates between Corporate Procurement, Project Managers and Park Leaders.
- Coordinate park access with Security and Human Resources for contractors working on property.
- Assist with capital requisitions.
- Ensure lien waiver compliance with contractors and subcontractors.
- Maintains safe work environment.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting is preferred.
- Must have accounting knowledge related to tracking budgets and spreadsheets.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple duties with competing deadlines in a team environment.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have strong analytical skills.
- Must be able to meet requirements to drive Busch Gardens vehicles.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to positively and professionally interact with guests and co-workers of all ages and levels of leadership, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
