Project Senior Manager
The Data Science for Dynamic Intervention Decision-Making Center (d3c) is an interdisciplinary collective of data scientists dedicated to revolutionizing intervention design and delivery in healthcare and education. d3c fosters a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values innovative data science tools and their implementation to improve health and educational outcomes globally.
Responsibilities
50% Project Leadership & Strategic Management:
- Collaborate with the d3c Managing Director to establish organization-wide project governance.
- Ensure alignment with strategic priorities and timelines across all active and proposed projects.
- Create comprehensive project plans and resource plans for each phase of the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate project kick-off meetings to set clear timelines, roles, deliverables, and expectations for project teams.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and risks, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
- Maintain shared resources, toolkits, and documentation to support consistent and efficient project execution.
- Mentor intermediate project managers or direct project staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage complex scheduling and logistics for meetings and workshops to streamline operations.
30% Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Building:
- Act as a relationship manager for cross-institutional and external partners, fostering trust and long-term collaboration.
- Work with faculty, researchers, and administrative staff to define project needs, goals, and success metrics.
- Represent the d3c team in meetings, providing updates, gathering feedback, and advocating for project priorities.
20% Operational Support:
- Support budgeting, purchasing, expense tracking, and financial forecasting processes in collaboration with administrative and financial staff.
- Address operational barriers that impact project execution, such as optimizing project management systems, coordinating staff training renewals, or supporting digital migrations.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance team efficiency and organizational impact.
- Act as a primary contact for project updates, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and at least eight years of experience in project coordination or project management at the Senior level.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex research or data projects.
- Proven experience managing or supporting multiple concurrent projects with timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in managing stakeholder relationships.
