About the role
The Security Systems Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for the security team, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of security infrastructure deployments for assigned special projects. This role ensures compliance with technical specifications and integration standards, manages door access requests through the ticketing system, and oversees and verifies incoming security inventory.
The coordinator collaborates with external vendors and internal departments, including Facilities and IT, to implement the necessary electrical and data infrastructure for reliable system installation and functionality. Additionally, the role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, including regular testing and staff training.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute security infrastructure deployments for special projects.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and integration standards.
- Manage door access requests through the ticketing system.
- Oversee and verify incoming security inventory.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal departments (Facilities, IT) to implement electrical and data infrastructure.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan.
- Conduct regular testing and staff training for disaster recovery procedures.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of technical project management experience, specifically with security-related systems.
- Experience or familiarity with physical security systems and technology, including:
- Access control systems (e.g., C-Cure 9000 or equivalent).
- Camera systems (e.g., Victor camera management system).
- Infant protection systems (e.g., Stanley – HUGS, Centrak - NewBaby).
- Emergency call boxes for remote areas.
- Software-based panic alarm systems (e.g., Lynx).
- Familiarity with Ivanti Service request system.
Skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (required).
