About the role
CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler to support Dallas Independent School District (DISD) capital improvement and renovation programs in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update: Detailed project schedules, Baseline schedules, Recovery schedules
- Utilize: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
- Review contractor schedules for: Completeness, Logic, Durations, Contract compliance
- Perform: Critical path analysis, Float analysis, Logic validation, Schedule quality checks
- Identify: Schedule risks, Delays, Potential impacts, Provide mitigation recommendations and schedule recovery strategies
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and update schedules regularly
- Coordinate with: Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Contractors
- Validate: Schedule updates, Progress data, Milestone tracking
- Analyze: Schedule changes, Delay impacts, Time extension requests
- Support: Claims analysis, Delay evaluations, Schedule integration across multiple campuses and projects
- Prepare: Schedule reports, Narratives, Dashboards, Leadership presentations
- Participate in project meetings to present schedule updates and resolve schedule-related issues
- Ensure alignment between: Procurement activities, Design deliverables, Construction milestones
- Support development of: Master program schedules, Program milestone tracking systems
- Cook up: Scheduling standards, Templates, Best practices
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in: Construction Scheduling, Project Scheduling, Infrastructure or public-sector programs, Supporting K-12 construction projects (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of: Construction sequencing, Project phasing, Construction delivery methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with: K-12 bond programs, Large capital improvement programs, Familiarity with: e-Builder, Procore, PMWeb
- Experience with: Multi-project schedule integration, Program-level scheduling
- Knowledge of: Claims analysis, Delay impact methodologies
- Possession of or progress toward: PMI-SPPSP certification
