About the role
Transmission is a key part of Avangrid’s growth strategy. The Project Manager, Transmission & ISO Policy, plays a critical leadership role in developing and implementing policy and regulatory strategies supporting the overall performance and growth of the Company’s transmission business. This role also serves as a leader and subject matter expert in transmission policy, federal and state regulation, and market design across ISO-NE and NYISO. The position plays a key role in advancing Company positions in regulatory proceedings and regional stakeholder processes, while collaborating with internal business units, legal, and external stakeholders. The position is focused on policy initiatives that support growth of the regulated transmission business. The Project Manager – Transmission & ISO Policy role leads cross-functional teams to address complex analytical and policy initiatives and provides strategic insights to senior leadership to support transmission investment and regulatory objectives. The Project Manager – Transmission & ISO Policy role reports into the Sr. Manager, Transmission & ISO Policy. The position is based in office locations: Orange, CT; Augusta, ME; Rochester, NY; Binghamton, NY; Albany, NY; or Boston, MA. Reports to Senior Manager - Transmission & Energy Policy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Company’s participation in federal and state regulatory proceedings related to transmission and energy markets, including development of testimony, exhibits, and responses to data requests
- Develop and implement policy and regulatory strategies to support transmission investment and energy market objectives
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across internal teams (e.g., planning, legal, finance, operations) to develop aligned Company positions
- Represent the Company externally in ISO-NE and NYISO stakeholder processes and industry working groups
- Deliver high-impact presentations to company leadership on complex subject matter related to policy and regulation
