About the role

We're expanding our Water & Wastewater team in Charlotte, NC with a dynamic Project Manager who's passionate about shaping the future of water. This role involves providing technical leadership, overseeing project delivery, managing budgets and schedules, and serving as the primary client contact.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and oversee the delivery of major water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects for our valued clients.
  • Lead project teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure excellence in every phase of project execution.
  • Play a key role in business development, marketing strategies, and client engagement, with opportunities to shape win strategies and pricing for new work.
  • Mentor team members, recruit top talent, and collaborate with leaders across the Southeast Region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in NC preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure or treatment facilities.
  • Strong understanding of consulting engineering business and municipal agencies.
  • Business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop, mentor and lead professional technical staff.
  • The ability to prioritize, track budgets, manage project schedules and anticipate associated upcoming tasks.
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed (primarily day trips).
