Project Manager - Water Business
About the role
The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for leading our State and Local Government and Water business with clients in Northern California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing client and pursuit strategies, relationship management, leading business development activities, overall business financial management, contract management, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement Client Development Plans for assigned clients
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients, business partners, and competitors
- Develop client and pursuit strategies
- Lead or support proposal development
- Make Go / No Go decisions or recommendations and assist with preparation of Proposal Review Board documents
- Serve as the Client Director and provide leadership to project and pursuit teams
- Meet new business and earnings financial goals
- Manage assigned business development budget
- Manage contracts and legal issues
- Manage and mitigate risks
- Identify key client interests and drivers on projects and pursuits and communicate with team members
- Leverage professional networking skills to help identify and pursue project opportunities
- Supervise and mentor project team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field
- Prioritize 10+ years professional experience managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver new business for water and wastewater utility and state and local government projects
- Previous consulting experience
- Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office Suite and Project Software
- Experience preparing proposals; negotiating and managing contracts; managing project budgets, costs and accounts receivables
- Experience with planning, delegation, directing others and conflict management
- Experience dealing with ambiguity and building effective teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements
Skills
- Client Focus: Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on complex projects
- People Management: Assist with performance management process, mentoring, recognition, and any corrective actions as required

Pay
$149,188.00 - $253,617.00
Schedule
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments
