About the role

Lead the execution of a large-scale ground-up public construction project located in Worcester, MA. Manage all project operations from the on-site project office throughout the duration of the project.

  • Partner closely with the Superintendent to ensure project milestones, budgets, schedules, quality standards, and safety goals are achieved.
  • Oversee subcontractor coordination, procurement activities, project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and oversee Assistant Project Managers and support staff assigned to the project.
  • Utilize Procore to manage documentation, reporting, and project controls.
  • Report directly to senior operations leadership and provide regular updates on project performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all public-sector requirements, contract documents, and company standards.
  • Support future public construction projects throughout Massachusetts upon completion of the assignment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
  • Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
  • Experience leading complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Proficiency with Procore.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Worcester, MA.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public construction experience, including municipal, state, federal, or educational projects.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $40M+.
  • Background overseeing large, multi-year construction projects.
  • Experience mentoring junior project management staff.
