About the role
Lead the execution of a large-scale ground-up public construction project located in Worcester, MA. Manage all project operations from the on-site project office throughout the duration of the project.
- Partner closely with the Superintendent to ensure project milestones, budgets, schedules, quality standards, and safety goals are achieved.
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, procurement activities, project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and oversee Assistant Project Managers and support staff assigned to the project.
- Utilize Procore to manage documentation, reporting, and project controls.
- Report directly to senior operations leadership and provide regular updates on project performance.
- Ensure compliance with all public-sector requirements, contract documents, and company standards.
- Support future public construction projects throughout Massachusetts upon completion of the assignment.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
- Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Experience leading complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Proficiency with Procore.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Worcester, MA.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public construction experience, including municipal, state, federal, or educational projects.
- Experience managing projects valued at $40M+.
- Background overseeing large, multi-year construction projects.
- Experience mentoring junior project management staff.
