Project Manager - Mechanical Electrical Plumbing

Responsibilities

  • Support mechanical design execution for various healthcare projects under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Aid in project management tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and budgeting
  • Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Contribute to the preparation of cost proposals and project contracts, including add service agreements
  • Engage in MEP systems reviews, collaborating with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to ensure compliance and quality
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Participate in quality control reviews of MEP system designs, calculations, and drawings
  • Provide support to designers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Gain experience in managing projects, with opportunities for career growth into senior-level roles

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in MEP design and engineering for healthcare projects within an engineering consulting environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Experience with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Easypower
  • Proficiency in national and local building codes, including NEC, State Energy Codes, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelines
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on project teams
  • A PE license is preferred, but candidates pursuing licensure will be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a project management capacity
