Job Summary

The Mechanical & Plumbing Construction Division – Mechanical Project Manager – conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs. The Project Manager will directly report to the SE&M Mechanical Division Operations Manager. Duties include direct oversight and coordination of safety, quality, and efficiency requirements for assigned Mechanical Construction Division projects, procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracts, conducting regular quality control walk downs and safety audits, providing bi-weekly reports, managing financial performance, forecasting project costs and manpower, coordinating manpower needs, attending manpower meetings, managing submittals, RFI's, drawings, correspondence, and change orders, generating cost estimates, maintaining project records, developing business relationships, resolving client concerns, leading project kick-off and close-out meetings, and monitoring regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in mechanical project management for industrial, pharmaceutical, and heavy commercial MEP projects - Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications - Proficiency in Trimble & Quote Soft estimating software(s) - Strong understanding of NC Mechanical & Plumbing Codes and industry standards - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Detail oriented, initiative-taking, and able to manage multiple assigned projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Work Conditions

- Work Location(s): The Mechanical Project Manager will primarily work out of the SE&M Constructors, Inc. Raleigh Office. Position will require occasional travel to the Elm City, NC office for meetings or other work-related matters. - Work Week – The normal work week will be Monday through Friday 7:00am–5:30pm or whatever time commitment is required that week to fulfill job duties.

Compensation and Benefits

Computer/Tablet computers may be enabled for remote VPN access as deemed necessary.
