What You'll Do

  • Manage, oversee, and coordinate all facets of the project lifecycle, including pre-construction, bid and award, construction, and close-out.
  • Review pre-construction documents and provide comments to the Designer as needed.
  • Plan, organize, and prepare reports for upper management detailing the status and progress of projects.
  • Cookordinate with relevant public agencies and project staff throughout pre-construction and construction to ensure compliance with all off-site work.
  • Manage the project budget and schedule, including monthly monitoring to ensure accurate reflection of project status/progress.
  • Oversee the contractor's daily activities, review construction schedules and submittals, and coordinate responses to contractor inquiries via Requests for Clarifications (RFC) and other documents.
  • Review substitution submittals from contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and/or organizational requirements.
  • Receive, review, and negotiate Contractor Change Order Proposals for fair and reasonable pricing, while also reviewing and addressing schedule impacts in a timely manner.
  • Review and monitor the process for payments to the contractor, architects, engineers, and other pertinent parties.
  • Administer provisions of Professional Service Agreements with Architects.
  • Cookordinate the delivery of related fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
  • Monitor and manage project close-out, including certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and financial close-out.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: Eight (8) years' full-time professional experience in the Project/Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction. This experience must include full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values of up to $2M or more.
  • Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
    • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
    • Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
    • Experience with the Division of State Architects (DSA) construction/design/certification process.
