About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of assigned projects, ensuring all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the Company’s requirements for safety, quality, management, and financial performance. The role involves efficient oversight of staffing, materials, financials, customer care, and delivery goals.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline, and discharge project-related staff as necessary.
- Manage all human resource issues per Company policies and escalate when needed.
- Complete performance ratings, promotions, and pay-change recommendations for project-related employees.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and Company goals.
- Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
- Plan, manage, and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
- Review job cost postings for accuracy, prepare invoices, manage customer collections, and provide periodic financial reporting to customers and management.
- Oversee all quality and safety issues on customer projects.
- Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
- Act as the Company liaison for customer interface.
- Create, develop, and implement account process improvements.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Self-motivated, professional, and capable of leading teams to implement project process improvements.
- Promote the Company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
- Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and oral/written presentation skills.
- High skill level in interpreting blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Ability to travel within branch or regional territory as needed.
- Proficiency in learning Company and customer project management systems.
- Ability to secure and maintain a Company-sponsored American Express Card.
- Proficiency with trade tools: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester, and 5-gang punch tool.
- Regular and reliable job attendance.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- RCDD certification preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical/construction field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a scope of work, develop detailed tasks, and manage them to final completion and customer turnover.
Pay
Annual salary range: $84,500 – $130,000 USD.
