About the role
Provide overall on-site leadership, coordination, and management of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.
- Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and regulations.
- Anticipate and proactively address construction-related issues and challenges, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Manage and resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and change orders.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a General Contractor.
- Strong background delivering ground-up and tenant improvement projects through all phases of construction.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, change orders, and overall project financial performance.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong preconstruction involvement.
- Highly organized with a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Stable work history with reputable commercial builders and a reputation for accountability and follow-through.
- Familiarity with the Northern Nevada construction market and subcontractor base is highly valued.
