About the role

Parsons is seeking experienced and driven Project Managers to join our PG&E Infrastructure division, supporting one of California’s most recognized and essential utility clients. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex infrastructure programs, delivering innovative and practical solutions in a high-visibility, long-term investment environment. You will manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and overall commercial performance while working alongside a hallmark client in Northern California (Chico, Sacramento, Rockland, Folsom, Auburn). Candidates must be located within 60 miles of these locations; business travel expenses, including mileage, will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and forecasting to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead scope development and management activities in alignment with project objectives.
  • Track and follow up on project-related instructions, commitments, and action items to ensure accountability and progress.
  • Support client objectives by developing a strong understanding of contract terms, program requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of key project documents, including:
    • Project Execution Plan
    • Health and Safety Plan
    • Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan
    • Other required project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with program and project milestones.
  • Prepare and distribute concise project summaries for team alignment and reference.
  • Direct and manage all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects.
  • Participate in field activities as needed, including job walks and safety hazard analyses.
  • Coordinate with profit center and department managers to define qualifications and staffing requirements for key project roles.
  • Partner with office facilities staff to address project space and operational needs.
  • Work closely with managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Identify potential cost overruns, schedule delays, or scope changes and collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to management on progress, milestones, risks, and issues that may impact cost or schedule.
  • May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and attend public meetings in support of client initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical or business field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering management experience, preferably on large-scale programs.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex infrastructure projects through all phases of delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, flexible, and collaborative team environment.

This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, where we design and deliver infrastructure that connects and protects communities worldwide.

Pay

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
