Description
Amazon Projects team needs individuals with deep knowledge of the Project life cycle, including the four pillars (assessment, design and detailing, execution, and performance qualification) of any project. Key responsibilities include site selection with the RE team, adherence to legal and statutory compliance, safety in design and execution, value management, and execution of various types of technical projects.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of all building formats for a specific region - North India.
- Set up new Centers across different business formats, expand existing facilities, and relocate facilities based on business needs.
- Drive 1 or 2 project management initiatives such as standardization, energy conservation, productivity improvement, and project financial processes.
- Ensure on-time and safe delivery and handover of facilities across business formats, adhering to high standards and engineering practices.
- Support the RE team in site visits and due diligence through inspections for feasibility assessments.
- Prepare developer's scope of work and Amazon's scope of work, cost estimates, and build-out capex requests.
- Finalize project management consultants, resource planning, and management through appointed PMC or hired resources.
- Work with procurement to evaluate and finalize vendors for projects.
- Review material requirements with stakeholders for facility setup and launch, tracking until implementation.
- Monitor and ensure quality of work by developers and track progress.
- Ensure a snag-free handover to Facilities Team and prepare for site launches closer to completion.
- Ensure budget adherence and safe execution at sites with no budget overruns and targeted zero LTIs.
- Prepare weekly progress reviews and reports with status updates and ensure timely project closure including commercial aspects.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology.
- Experience in engineering, preferably in a supervisory role managing people.
- Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production, or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems.
