Project Manager I – Data Center Construction

About the role

Manage mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, typically ranging from $100M–$800M. Work side-by-side with Superintendents and project management teams on site to own planning, schedules, budgets, and client communication. Use modern construction technology to drive smart decisions, protect uptime, mitigate risk, and deliver zero-defect turnover while maintaining alignment with Boldt’s safety culture, schedule commitments, and financial performance. Lead cross-functional teams and serve as a key interface with clients operating in 24/7 zero-downtime environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

• Protect uptime, mitigate risk, and deliver zero-defect turnover.
• Maintain alignment with Boldt’s safety culture, schedule commitments, and financial performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams and serve as a key interface with clients in 24/7 zero-downtime environments.

Requirements

• Four-year engineering or construction management degree. Combination of education and industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Seven plus years of construction experience, with 5 plus years of mission-critical construction projects focusing on strong coordination and execution.
• Working knowledge of MEP systems and integrated building systems is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and project financials with confidence and accountability.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods and how they translate from plan to field.
• Clear and effective communicator who can collaborate with craft professionals, project leadership, and clients.

Nice to Have

• Basic experience with data center commissioning processes (Level 1–5).
• Ability to work in dynamic and fluid environments with operational constraints and change control requirements.
• Strong focus on documentation rigor, QA/QC, and turnover excellence.

Pay

Anticipated base salary range: $130,000 - $175,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Location

Waukesha, WI. Regional travel may be required based on project needs.
