Position Summary
T Bailey is seeking a Project Manager to oversee project execution from planning to completion, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning and implementation, adhering to company safety policies
- Review and negotiate contracts and purchase orders to protect company interests
- Administer contracts, communicate with owners, and align project specifications with shop management
- Serve as the primary liaison between T Bailey and customers, ensuring schedules and quality requirements are met
- Resolve project issues and provide guidance to the project team
- Control project schedules and costs to ensure timely and budgeted completion
- Monitor production progress and prepare monthly margin analyses
- Negotiate change orders and implement project changes
- Prepare estimates and manage project drawings from engineering to production
- Manage fabrication schedules, ensuring workforce requirements, material availability, and quality checks are completed
- Analyze blueprints and documents to prepare estimates and resolve issues
- Attend organizational and external training to enhance job skills
- Support T Bailey’s Safety Program
Qualifications
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and customers
- Show excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently and within a team, with a strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills
- Handle pressure and coordinate various activities efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and documents like Health & Safety Plans, contracts, and shop drawings
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Maintain high standards for safe, accurate work despite competing deadlines and pressures
- Obtain necessary certifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience assisting, supervising, or managing projects
- Substantial job experience and training may substitute for a portion of this requirement
- Experience in a construction or industrial setting preferred
Physical Requirements
- Primarily office work but may involve time in manufacturing facilities, coatings facilities, and construction job sites
- Flexibility of work hours to accommodate project needs
- Able to lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs occasionally
- Able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
- Use of PPE, climbing stairs and ladders, and working around heavy machinery may be required in certain areas of the facility
