Project Manager – Commercial Construction

About the role

The ideal candidate will lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion, with strong project management experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, quality, subcontractors, and client relationships. Experience with Construction Management-at-Risk (CMAR) and Design-Build delivery methods is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality control, costs, and overall performance.
• Manage multiple projects while ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and project development activities.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, consultants, and field teams.
• Lead project meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and other project partners.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Track project costs, change orders, schedules, and budget performance.
• Prepare project reports, updates, schedules, and other required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout the construction lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and project stakeholders.

Pay

$110,000 – $140,000 annual salary, based on experience and qualifications.
