About the Role

This role involves planning, scheduling, organizing, and directing projects, including application engineering, field installation, and start-up. You will ensure projects are executed within budget and on schedule while maintaining positive cash flow. As a key interface with customers, you will maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance. The highest level of this role includes managing direct reports, high-volume accounts, and critical customers.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, organize, and direct project execution, including application engineering, field installation, and start-up.
- Ensure projects are completed within budgeted cost and time schedules while maintaining positive cash flow.
- Serve as the primary interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance.
- Manage direct reports, high-volume accounts, and critical customers (for the highest-level role).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Expert project management experience in a technical environment (e.g., building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
- Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills with a solid leadership orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong programming and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of IT networking principles.
- Advanced financial analytical skills, including cost control.
- Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum experience: 7-10 years in relevant engineering, field service, or project management, with 5 years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.

Pay
Pay range: $95,000–$105,000 USD (varies by location for remote or multi-location postings). Individual pay rates depend on skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education.
