About the Role

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Project Manager to join our team. You will be part of a dynamic environment that fosters growth as Convergint expands. This role involves planning, scheduling, organizing, and directing projects, including application engineering, field installation, and start-up.

You will ensure projects are executed within budgeted costs and timelines while maintaining positive cash flow. As a key interface with customers, you will maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance. Senior Project Managers may oversee direct reports, high-volume accounts, or critical customers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, organize, and direct projects, including application engineering, field installation, and start-up.
  • Ensure projects are executed within budgeted costs and time schedules while maintaining positive cash flow.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface to maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee high-volume or critical accounts, including managing direct reports (for senior-level roles).
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Expert project management experience in a technical environment (e.g., building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems).
  • Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills with a strong leadership orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; solid programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of IT networking principles.
  • Advanced financial analytical skills, including cost control.

Qualifications

  • Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Experience: 7-10 years in relevant engineering, field service, or project management.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Preferred (but not required): Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation industries.
