Overview

The Project Manager I, MBCx supports the full lifecycle of Monitoring-Based Commissioning engagements across a portfolio of healthcare and higher-education facilities. This role involves assisting with project management, coordinating with clients and teams, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with managing the MBCx project lifecycle, from initial site onboarding and BAS/point mapping through platform go-live and ongoing service delivery
  • Participates in meetings with client facilities and engineering teams to define project scope, onboarding timelines, and reporting cadences for FDD and retro-commissioning work
  • Captures fault resolution progress, energy savings validation, and project milestones against client SLAs, under the direct supervision of a PM II or III
  • Aids the MBCx team in ensuring onboarding and ongoing service work is completed on time, within budget, and to specification
  • Supports the selection, negotiation, and coordination of controls contractors, integrators, or sub-contractors supporting site onboarding and BAS integration
  • Schedules resources across assigned client sites, balancing onboarding pipeline with ongoing monitoring and analyst workload
  • Tracks project progress against onboarding milestones, energy savings targets, and other MBCx performance indicators; prepares and delivers status reports to management, under the direct supervision of a PM II or III
  • Develops working knowledge of MBCx-specific tools, policies, and practices, including fault detection workflows, chiller plant diagnostics, and demand response program participation

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of related industry experience working in integrated project teams in one of the following sectors: Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, or Energy
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Certified Associate in Project Management
  • Experience in an engineering design discipline, construction sector, facilities management, and/or energy sector

Travel Requirements

25-40% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
