Project Manager 1

The Department of Corrections invites you to take the next step in your career as a Project Manager 1, helping move critical technology projects from ideas to results within the Public Safety Information Technology Delivery Center's (PSITDC) Project Management Office.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Create and maintain detailed project plans for all phases of assigned projects.
• Scope Management: Define project scope, monitor proposed changes, and document approvals.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify risks and issues, prepare mitigation strategies, and execute contingency actions.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to produce required project documents.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor project schedules, track key milestones, and take corrective action when needed.
• Communication Oversight: Develop communications plans and keep staff informed of timelines and expectations.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Business Analyst 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of experience in leading IT systems development or implementation projects and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of experience in leading IT systems development or implementation projects.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Schedule

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: Opportunity to work from home part-time, two days per week, with a securely configured high-speed internet connection from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If telework is not feasible, reporting to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg is required. Telework eligibility is subject to change.
