About the role
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our Proprietary Program team in Berkeley, Missouri. This candidate will provide support to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. The role involves developing statements of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing, and new business requirements, obtaining approval from customers and management, and responding to changes to the SOW by assessing impact and negotiating modifications to deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules.
Leads project execution, identifies performance metrics, plans and coordinates resources, defines risk mitigation and opportunity plans, and compares actual results to baseline plans. Provides technical, business, and integration leadership for project or team plans with minimal direction.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the Program, Production Engineering team, and Operations, translating program goals into actionable project plans.
- Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities within the Program team and with external partners to ensure execution of the created Internal Work Transfer (IWT) Statement of Work (SOW).
- Identify and maintain day-to-day oversight of cost, schedule, and performance metrics and reporting to leadership.
- Monitor project risks and issues, proactively identifying mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
- Prepare and present regular status reports, briefings, and documentation to program leadership and stakeholders.
- Support configuration management, change control processes, and compliance with Program requirements.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across technical and management teams to align project objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and review of program documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required; a final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required).
- This position is 100% onsite at the Berkeley, Missouri location and requires working 1st shift.
- Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in creation and execution of Statement of Work (SOW) documentation.
- Project Management experience including Engineering definition, Quality requirements, and execution of complex assemblies to specification and on-time delivery.
- Composite Fabrication and/or Assembly of Aerospace components.
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience (e.g., Master+8 years, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $113,050 - $139,650
