About the role

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist to join our Proprietary Program team in Berkeley, Missouri. This candidate will provide support to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. The role involves developing statements of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing, and new business requirements, and working with customers and management to obtain approval. The candidate will respond to changes to SOW, assess impact, and negotiate proposed changes to deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules. The role leads project execution, identifies performance metrics, coordinates resources, defines risk mitigation plans, and compares actual results to baseline plans.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Program, Production Engineering team, and Operations, translating program goals into actionable project plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities within the Program team and with external partners to ensure execution of the created Internal Work Transfer (IWT) Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Identify and maintain day-to-day oversight of cost, schedule, and performance metrics and reporting to leadership.
  • Monitor project risks and issues, proactively identifying mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports, briefings, and documentation to program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support configuration management, change control processes, and compliance with Program requirements.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across technical and management teams to align project objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of program documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship (a final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required).
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options (Berkeley, Missouri).
  • This position is for 1st shift.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in creation and execution of Statement of Work (SOW) documentation.
  • Project Management of projects including Engineering definition, Quality requirements, and execution of complex assemblies to specification and on-time delivery.
  • Composite Fabrication and/or Assembly of Aerospace components.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
  • Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $113,050 - $139,650.
