Job Summary
This position assists the project team with day-to-day tasks for a successful project.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of two years at an accredited college or university towards a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist a project team consisting of a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and a Superintendent on an electrical construction project.
- Exposure to electrical system design, cost estimating, planning, and scheduling, materials procurement, cost control, and quality management.
- Afforded opportunities to engage in drawing and document coordination, including sending drawings to bidders via FedEx, keeping project documents organized, and distributing documents to all parties involved with a project.
- Preparation of submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, bid proposals, and other documents as required.
- Development and maintenance of project matrices for document control.
- Tracking RFI’s, drawings, change orders, and other documents using Microsoft Excel.
- Creation of drawings for installation of electrical components.
- Ability to interface with architects, trade contractors, vendors, and management teams.
- This position is required to drive.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Good organizational and planning skills are essential.
- Strong computer competence including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD required.
