About the role
The Project Executive position offers a unique opportunity to lead and oversee the strategic and day-to-day operations of construction, project management, and project administration activities. This role involves maintaining budgets, timelines, and profitability for assigned projects, assisting in policy development, and managing project teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational oversight in client management, procedural issues, financial and reporting issues, and workforce planning and analysis.
- Manage and develop project management staff, promoting positive customer relations through professional and fair dealings with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Initiate, execute, and document quality job start-up meetings for assigned projects.
- Manage and maintain relationships with strategic partners, ensuring timely payments and compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct monthly project reviews with project teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality, safety, administration, and profitability.
- Analyze personnel availability and assign tasks to meet project needs.
- Avoid and resolve specific issues and requests from project teams.
- Represent the company in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and senior management.
- Schedule, facilitate, and document project close-out meetings, verifying project data sheets and photos with client approval.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), with Accubid and Oracle experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing requirements.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation, proactive attitude, and strong teamwork skills.
- Experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction.
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
- Experience mentoring and managing others.
- Business development and heavy client interaction experience.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction.
