Project Executive – Highway & Bridge

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of large-scale multidisciplinary highway/bridge construction projects
  • Managing overall project team, including budget and schedule
  • Serve as primary point of contact to the client on all project matters
  • Overall responsibility for construction management and inspection
  • Responsible for overall project delivery and quality
  • Identifying and recommending candidates for the highway/bridge CI team
  • Identifying, strategizing, and winning new projects
  • Leading pursuits of highway/bridge projects, serving as technical lead on key pursuits
  • Participate in strategic positioning for major regional project opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in New York
  • 20+ years of experience in complex highway and bridge construction
  • Experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, and NYCDDC, and other local clients
  • Experience with design-build projects
  • A demonstrated ability to cultivate new clients, identify opportunities, and win work
  • Strong relationships within the industry including within agency, consultant, and contractor community
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for projects and personnel
  • Excellent communication skills and work ethic
  • A demonstrated ability to independently lead and support business development and proposal activities
  • A demonstrated ability to evaluate the technical requirements of segments of the individual projects, outline the tasks, manpower and equipment requirements, establish fees, scope and project budgets and outline a project schedule
  • A demonstrated ability to administer all project general and technical data and reports to communicate verbally and in writing to all parties involved
