Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with compliance issues
- Supports implementation and updates of the Site Environmental Management Plan
- Conducts daily site inspections and prepares daily reports or logs
- Manages and implements permits, including those obtained by the Project Owner and delegated to ZII, and those obtained by ZII, its affiliates, or partnering companies
- Coordinates corrective actions for compliance deficiencies
- Assists with spill response and mitigation, including incident reporting
- Supports personnel orientation and training in environmental responsibilities
- Collaborates with Project Management on subcontractor environmental commitments and responsibilities
- Assists with waste storage, handling, and disposal management according to regulations
- Oversees petroleum storage and handling, including fuel storage tanks, drums, and containers, lubricants, and other petroleum by-products
- Assists with additional environmental responsibilities as needed
- Assists with animal and endangered species control
- Supervises material recordkeeping and storage oversight, including Flammable Storage Cabinets
- Works outdoors 60 to 75%
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the project or corporate initiatives
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Personable and capable of working with all levels of construction project crafts and management personnel
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Advanced training or education in Environmental or Technical Field
- Knowledgeable of various construction project site environmental compliance issues and applicable regulations, including Storm Water Best Management Practices, Spill Prevention and Management, wetlands, process water control, waste storage and disposal, and fuel storage
- Computer skills in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, etc...
