Who are we looking for?

GHD is seeking an Environmental Project Coordinator to join our Contamination Assessment and Remediation Group. In this role, you will support our Project Managers and Project Directors in the execution of major mining and oil & gas projects. You’ll be expected to nurture solid client relationships, help plan and coordinate site assessments, perform analysis of environmental data, and develop environmentally responsible solutions to meet regulatory obligations.

  • Work with PMs and PDs to ensure delivery of an enhanced client experience
  • Maintain health, safety, quality and environment key performance indicators (KPIs) and behaviors
  • Drive a culture of innovation by creating multistakeholder solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration across business units

What you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor and/or master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Geology or related discipline
  • PE or PG license a plus
  • 3 to 7 years of experience with contaminated site assessments, remediation and reclamation
  • Experience working on mining and/or oil & gas projects preferred
  • Expertise in field assessments, technical reporting and project management
  • Valid driver's license

What you will do

  • Support Project Managers and Project Directors in the execution of major mining and oil & gas projects
  • Nurture solid client relationships
  • Help plan and coordinate site assessments
  • Perform analysis of environmental data
  • Develop environmentally responsible solutions to meet regulatory obligations
  • Collaborate with other Project Coordinators, Project Managers (PMs), Project Directors (PDs) and Technical Leads as well as other Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers
  • Provide effective field and office mentoring of more junior environmental practitioners' professional development
  • Aid in project resourcing, systems and processes to ensure timely delivery of services meeting client requirements and budgets
  • Assist PMs and PDs from proposal through to execution in accordance with our project management and quality performance metrics
  • Report to the Business Group Leader (BGL) on both federally regulated and provincially regulated projects for several clients

Qualifications

  • Pre-employment medical and drug screenings, to the extent allowable by applicable law
  • Salary Range: $66,000 - $82,500 based on experience and location

  • Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee
  • Wellness Benefit- Regular full-term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program. GHD will reimburse 50% of the cost of the following to maximum of $250.00 reimbursement annually for such items as: Health club membership fees, Home exercise equipment purchases, Bicycles, Race, run & marathon entrance fees, Smoking cessation programs, Weight loss programs (i.e.—Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig), Fitbits and Fitness Tracking devices
