About the role
GHD is seeking an Environmental Project Coordinator to join our Contamination Assessment and Remediation Group. The role supports Project Managers and Project Directors in executing major mining and oil & gas projects.
Responsibilities
- Nurture solid client relationships
- Help plan and coordinate site assessments
- Perform analysis of environmental data
- Develop environmentally responsible solutions to meet regulatory obligations
- Collaborate with a team environment working closely with other Project Coordinators, Project Managers (PMs), Project Directors (PDs) and Technical Leads
- Provide effective field and office mentoring of more junior environmental practitioners
- Afford project resourcing, systems and processes to ensure timely delivery of services meeting client requirements and budgets
- Assist PMs and PDs from proposal through to execution in accordance with our project management and quality performance metrics
- Report to the Business Group Leader (BGL) on both federally regulated and provincially regulated projects for several clients
- Nurture important client relationships and engage with industry networks; work with PMs and PDs to ensure delivery of an enhanced client experience
- Maintain health, safety, quality and environment key performance indicators (KPIs) and behaviors
- Drive a culture of innovation by creating multistakeholder solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration across business units
Requirements
- Bachelor and/or master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Geology or related discipline
- PE or PG license a plus
- 3 to 7 years of experience with contaminated site assessments, remediation and reclamation
- Experience working on mining and/or oil & gas projects preferred
- Expertise in field assessments, technical reporting and project management
- Valid driver's license
Qualifications

- Salary Range: $66,000 - $82,500 based on experience and location
