Project Engineering Manager - Water/Wastewater

About the role

The Project Engineering Manager for Water & Wastewater role at Black & Veatch involves managing the engineering component of multiple traditional, design-build, design-bid-build, and collaborative delivery projects including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance, and carbon neutral solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians on high profile municipal projects.
• Supervise and mentor engineering staff, identifying developmental growth opportunities.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, and correspondence with clients and project management in support of a project.
• Identify key client interests and drivers for highly complex projects.
• Communicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutions.
• Manage project changes directly with the client with Project Management Technical expertise.
• Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables.
• Support the chief engineer and support discipline specific engineering processes.
• Reviews lower-level engineering work or assignments.
• Hire, mentor, perform management and pay administration of assigned personnel.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program or equivalent experience in Engineering work.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Qualifications

• PE license.
• Previous engineering consulting experience.
• Experience executing complex multi-discipline WTP and WWTP upgrades and expansion projects.

$162,384.00 - $271,176.00

Schedule

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
