As a Mk7 project Engineer you will coordinate planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and formulate engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
• Evaluate and approve design changes, specification and drawing releases
• Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
• Work with the missile integration team as the Control Account Manager (CAM) having responsibility for cost, schedule and technical execution
• Support creation of and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedule activities and partner with technical team to create an executable baseline
• Present in program reviews as well as various control boards to internal and external customers
• Perform formal Risk and Opportunity identification, management and tracking
• Other ad-hoc tasking by program management

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment
• Experience with program management, control account management, and earned value management principles
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience with executive level communications, and establishing clear vision and objectives
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance

Skills

• Experience on the FBM program, or with the Navy SSP Customer
• Experience with software development
• Experience with systems engineering principles and practices on a major development program
• Experience with payload interfaces and integration
• Experience with assembly, integration, and flight test
• Experience with proposals and capture management
• Active Top Secret DoD security clearance
• Experience with government budgeting processes, and defense acquisition

Pay

GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• GEOZONE 1: $106,600.00 - $198,000.00 — Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Palo Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
• GEOZONE 2: $95,900.00 - $178,100.00 — Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
• GEOZONE 3: $85,300.00 - $158,300.00 — Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
• GEOZONE 4: $76,700.00 - $142,500.00 — Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market (work location) and business considerations when extending an offer. Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
