About the role
A Project Engineer, Mechanical at Park Industries will lead the technical and engineering execution of projects while maintaining accountability for performance, cost, and delivery. The role involves overseeing all technical aspects of engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring designs meet customer requirements and business objectives. Responsibilities include project and technical leadership, facilitating design reviews, applying engineering fundamentals, and supporting customer service, field installation, and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all technical aspects of engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring designs meet customer requirements and business objectives
- Lead mechanical design and analysis efforts with a focus on machine structures, gearboxes, rails, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Cook up cross-functional teams to identify and implement designs that provide product differentiation and competitive advantage
- Facilitate concept and design reviews to ensure appropriate input and alignment across impacted stakeholders
- Apply engineering fundamentals, analysis tools, and best practices to support robust, manufacturable designs
- Utilize simulation, FEA, root cause analysis, DFMEA, and other tools to support design decisions and issue resolution
- Develop and manage project schedules, product costs, budgets, and key performance metrics to meet overall business requirements
- Track progress and proactively address risks or technical challenges that could impact scope, timeline, or cost
- Support customer service, field installation, and sales teams through training and technical expertise as needed
- Provide timely resolution of customer issues and collaborate with Manufacturing and Sourcing to support production and cost objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- 10+ years of mechanical design and engineering experience (required)
- 2+ years of project leadership or project ownership experience (preferred)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience designing CNC, robotic, or similarly complex machinery (preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP/JDE systems (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Qualifications
- Advanced experience with 3D CAD modeling (AutoCAD / Inventor preferred)
- Strong analytical skills, including mechanical analysis, hand calculations, and FEA
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system design
- Proficiency with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions, present technical concepts, and collaborate cross-functionally
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with attention to detail and accountability
Skills

Pay
The anticipated starting rate for this position ranges from $100,000.00 to $130,000.00. Please note that the range provided is an estimate and not a guarantee; the final offer will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, location, and assigned shift.
