About the role

As a Project Engineer, you’ll become part of a dynamic organization that values teamwork, accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement. You will work in a collaborative environment where development and construction teams operate in tandem—giving you exposure across planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. You’ll gain broad experience, working alongside experienced project management leadership, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders—increasing your professional growth and visibility.

Why join us?

The company fosters a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning—encouraging you to bring new ideas, improve processes, and grow as a valued member of the team. With their integrated delivery model, you’ll see first-hand how decisions made in development affect construction and vice versa, enhancing your holistic understanding of the real-estate lifecycle.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, or related field.
  • 2–5 years (or more, depending on level) of experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination—preferably in commercial real-estate, mixed-use, or multifamily development.
  • Familiarity with construction means, methods, scheduling tools, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination, and on-site engineering.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical aptitude—able to review drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings, and understand structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems.
  • Excellent communication skills—ability to coordinate with design teams, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills—comfortable managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, BIM360, MS Project, Primavera) and the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Problem-solving mindset—able to identify issues proactively, propose solutions, escalate when necessary, and follow through to resolution.
  • Detail-oriented mindset—ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Willingness to spend time on job sites—comfort and ability to walk active construction sites, interface with field staff, understand field conditions, and support site operations.
  • Ability to travel between project locations as required (within the region/city) and flexibility to work occasional extended hours when project demands require.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and executing project work scopes.
  • Review drawings, RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and coordinate with design and construction teams to maintain project alignment.
  • Monitor project schedules, cost-to-complete, budgets, contingencies, and report on progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Attend site meetings, coordinate subcontractor activities, track deliverables, and support field operations to meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Support procurement—compile vendor data, review proposals, coordinate with purchasing/team members to ensure timely delivery of long-lead items and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation: daily logs, meeting minutes, field reports, safety records, submittal logs, RFI logs, change order logs, etc.
  • Aid in risk management efforts: identify potential project risks (schedule, cost, quality, safety), recommend mitigation actions, and monitor implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, contract requirements, and applicable codes/regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement: suggest process enhancements and lessons-learned from ongoing project work to refine workflows and drive efficiency.
