Project Engineer Construction
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aids the Project Manager and project team in day-to-day General Contract and Subcontract administration.
- Maintains job site safety and accident prevention.
- Schedules construction activities.
- Procures and expedites materials and equipment.
- Coordinates mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
- Reviews shop drawings and submittals for coordination.
- Reviews and updates project costs, reports, and accounts.
- Supervises and coordinates subcontractors' field installations.
- Reviews and negotiates change proposals from subcontractors and prepares change proposals for self-performed work.
- Documents and maintains change orders and associated cost reporting.
- Researches and suggests options on construction means, methods, and equipment.
- Maintains As-Built plans.
- Ensures quality control and project closeout.
- Implements safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs on the project.
Minimal Qualifications
- College Diploma in Construction Management (preferred).
- Construction internship or other related construction work experience (preferred).
- 5+ Years of general knowledge of construction principles/practices (required).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
- Proficient in Blue Beam.
Compensation
The annual salary for this role is $70,000.00 - $105,000.00. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Physical Demands

Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel is required.
