Project Engineer Construction

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Aids the Project Manager and project team in day-to-day General Contract and Subcontract administration.
• Maintains job site safety and accident prevention through monitoring and documentation.
• Schedules construction activities.
• Procures and expedites materials and equipment.
• Coordinates mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
• Reviews and approves shop drawings and submittals.
• Reviews and updates project costs, reports, and accounts.
• Supervises and coordinates subcontractors' field installations.
• Reviews and negotiates change proposals from subcontractors and prepares change orders for self-performed work.
• Documents and maintains change order pricing and associated cost reporting.
• Researches and suggests improvements in construction means, methods, and equipment.
• Maintains As-Built plans.
• Ensures quality control and project closure.
• Enforces all applicable safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs on the project.

Minimal Qualifications

• College Diploma in Construction Management, with construction internship or related work experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of general knowledge of construction principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency in Blue Beam software.

Pay

The annual salary for this role is $70,000.00 - $105,000.00, depending on relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives may also be offered.
