Project Engineer Construction
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aids the Project Manager and project team in day-to-day General Contract and Subcontract administration.
- Maintains job site safety and accident prevention.
- Schedules construction activities.
- Procures and expedites materials and equipment.
- Coordinates mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
- Reviews and approves shop drawings and submittals.
- Reviews and updates project costs, reports, and accounts.
- Manages subcontractor applications for payment.
- Documents and participates in project coordination meetings.
- Supervises and coordinates subcontractors' field installations.
- Reviews and negotiates change proposals from subcontractors and prepares change proposals for self-performed work.
- Documents and maintains change orders and associated cost reporting.
- Researches and suggests improvements in construction methods and equipment.
- Maintains As-Built plans.
- Ensures quality control and project closure.
- Enforces all applicable safety and EEO/Affirmative Action programs.
Minimal Qualifications
- College Diploma in Construction Management (preferred).
- Construction internship or related construction work experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of general knowledge of construction principles/practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency in Blue Beam.
Compensation
The annual salary for this role is $70,000.00 - $105,000.00. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
