About the role
Martin/Martin is seeking a mid-level Civil Investigative Engineer to join our rapidly growing Investigative Engineering Group in our Denver, Colorado office.
Responsibilities
- Mentoring staff
- Meeting with clients

Requirements
- Required Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Completed 4 years progressive engineering experience
- Eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to work in the Denver area
- Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function
- Exhibits effective communication and technical skills
Desired Experience or interest
- Involvement in forensic engineering and/or expert witness support
- Experience with evaluation, rehabilitation, or repair of existing site infrastructure, including grading, drainage systems, pavements, subsurface utilities, and/or roadways
- Familiarity with field investigation techniques, including site reconnaissance, documentation, and coordination of non-destructive testing (e.g., CCTV, GPR, infiltration testing, etc.)
- Working knowledge of local and regional civil design standards and criteria (e.g., City and County of Denver, Colorado Department of Transportation, and similar AHJs)
- Experience preparing technical reports, exhibits, and repair/rehabilitation drawings for existing site conditions
- Experience with construction administration services, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and observing construction for conformance with design intent
- Evaluation of existing conditions, identification of probable causes of distress or failure, and development of practical, cost-effective repair recommendations
- Proficiency with civil engineering design and documentation tools (e.g., Autodesk Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across concurrent projects
- Interest in developing client relationships and participating in business development efforts over time

Compensation
The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Base Salary: For individuals hired in Colorado, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $89,000 - $108,000 annually.
