Project Engineer - Civil
About the role
Fehr Graham is a fast-growing Midwest engineering environmental firm seeking a motivated Project Engineer specialized in Municipal markets. The position is based in our Rochelle, Illinois office.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate work.
- Apply standard engineering practices and techniques.
- Adjust and correlate data.
- Recognize discrepancies and follow standard procedures.
- Build relationships with clients.
- Work effectively under tight deadlines.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Five or more years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably at a professional consulting firm.
- A license as a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain one shortly after starting employment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to speak and write well.
- Team player attitude.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate is not only experienced in civil engineering but also possesses a preference for tackling challenges in transportation, private development, stormwater or hydraulic modeling. You’ll make crucial decisions independently, find innovative solutions and plan and coordinate projects. As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll make independent decisions and will thrive under pressure.

Pay
The base salary (or hourly rate) range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
