About the Role

As a Project Development Specialist, you will establish and clarify specific design-build projects and other submitted projects. You will prepare and coordinate detailed project descriptions and requirements to ensure accurate and efficient processing by the Engineering team. Your role includes coordinating pre-construction planning, participating in pre-coordination meetings, evaluations, studies, value engineering, analysis, and constructability reviews of best practices. You will use engineering systems and drawings to provide project coordination, structural design services, and up-front information for customers, focusing on continuous improvement, cost reduction, quality, and safety in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop CAD drawings (Permit and Anchor Bolt drawings) for pre-construction use by builders, end clients, and internal customers.
  • Coordinate pre-construction drawings with the production team and customers to verify accuracy.
  • Ensure customer design service needs are met by delivering drawing and information collaboration on time and producing and managing drawing sets.
  • Develop and grow software and technical knowledge to keep up with changes in software development.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers.
  • Attend applicable meetings.

Requirements

  • Associate or 2-year technical degree, or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency in Algebra and Trigonometry.
  • 3 years of experience in the Metal Building field.
  • Experience communicating with contractors, engineers, and architects.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in the Metal Building field.
  • General understanding and ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in CAD and Revit modeling.

Skills & Competencies

  • Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Autodesk Programs preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Flexibility with travel requirements and overtime when needed.
  • Problem-solving skills.
