Job Summary

Careers at KBH Industrial offer the opportunity to coordinate project teams of one to five people, including planning, scheduling, and control of project and program activities. You will act as a specialist for specific projects with detailed knowledge of all aspects of the projects, maintaining a knowledge base of new developments and technology. You will monitor projects and recommend changes to improve operating efficiency, develop budgetary estimates, and develop and manage contracts.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manages small projects for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance as assigned, providing oversight of the staff involved in planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring to ensure that work is implemented safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Develops the budgets, including tracking cost versus budget for assigned projects.
  • Affirms proper progress and focus through frequent interface with the client, engineers, related parties, and management.
  • Develops and manages contracts and interfaces with vendors.
  • Prepares and delivers written and oral communications to various groups including senior management.
  • Develops and maintains long-range plan strategies associated with assigned projects.
  • Supports effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
  • Supports the following: Outage support including OCC

Skills and Experience

  • Basic project management techniques.
  • Basic core values as related to human performance, cost-effective work execution.
  • Basic use of computer software tools (MS Office).

Desired Abilities and Skills

  • Familiar with error reduction and human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies, managing projects, on-line work management, refueling and forced outage management related activities, engineering, or standard project management techniques.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university AND one year of experience in a technical field;
  • OR Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from accredited college or university AND three years' experience in a technical field;
  • OR High School Diploma/GED AND five years' experience in a technical field

Pay

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $30.71 to $46.64/hour
