Project Coordinator – Host Homes – Dover-Foxcroft

Job Summary

Penquis, a social services agency with over 50 years of experience supporting Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties, seeks a full-time (40 hours per week; eligible for benefits) Project Coordinator. The ideal candidate will work directly with youth facing housing insecurity or at risk of homelessness, engage in community outreach, and collaborate with a network of providers.

Location

Dover-Foxcroft, Maine

Responsibilities

• Youth and young adult support, placement assistance, and resource access
• Host Home recruitment, training, and support
• Direct implementation of YHDP (Youth Homeless Demonstration Project)
• Negotiation and facilitation of partnerships with schools, youth-serving organizations, and community groups
• Participation in training and meetings, including statewide Continuum of Care meetings and YHDP grantee meetings

Requirements

• Associate's degree and 2-3 years' experience working with young people, particularly in self-advocacy, youth development, youth leadership, or direct social services
• 1-2 years of documented experience working with children and families
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills

Pay Range

$20.85 - $29.19 per hour
