Vero Networks · Denver, CO · 1 mo ago
OTHRFull-time

Position Summary

The Business & MDU Project Coordinator supports the successful delivery of assigned small and medium business (SMB), enterprise, ICB, and multi-dwelling unit (MDU) projects. The role serves as the primary project contact from the time a signed service order, agreement, or approved project handoff is received through validation, readiness, cross-functional coordination, installation, activation, customer or property confirmation, closeout, and formal handoff to the designated internal account owner. This is a developing, early-career coordination role. The coordinator will learn Vero's products, systems, departments, business and MDU project processes while helping establish the documentation, reporting, project controls, and communication practices needed as volume and complexity grow. When project demand permits, the position will support related Business Operations, MDU, and Service Delivery activities that strengthen project readiness, order accuracy, customer follow-through, and operational execution. Ongoing account management after implementation is owned by another internal team member and is outside the scope of this position. This is an entry- or mid-level role that will be mentored by the Senior Business & MDU Project Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Review signed business orders, MDU agreements, and approved handoffs to confirm scope, contacts, site, billing information, target dates, and approvals are complete; work with Sales and stakeholders to resolve gaps before the project proceeds.
  • Scale coordination to project complexity — moving straightforward business installs efficiently while building full project plans, milestones, and dependency tracking for complex business, enterprise, ICB, and MDU projects.
  • Confirm technical requirements, serviceability, and site/property readiness, including access, equipment needs, and, for MDU properties, building/phase scope and unit vs. common-area work.
  • Coordinate the work of Sales, Field Services, Customer Support, Technical Support, OSP, Construction, Billing, Engineering, Dispatch and Scheduling, Network Operations, vendors, customers, and property owners or managers as required.
  • Track site surveys, design/engineering needs, construction and OSP dependencies, scheduling, installation, testing, activation, and closeout through completion — by property, building, and unit for MDU projects.
  • Identify incomplete information, aging tasks, unclear ownership, and delay risk; follow up or escalate when commitments are at risk.
  • Confirm completed work is tested, documented, accurately reflected in company systems, and ready for correct billing.
  • Serve as the proactive, primary point of contact, setting clear expectations on timing, responsibilities, risks, and next steps.
  • Document decisions, commitments, approvals, and open actions, translating technical and operational detail into clear, customer-facing updates.
  • Route customer and property questions, concerns, and escalations to the responsible team and see them through to resolution.
  • Confirm installation, activation, testing, documentation, communication, and billing readiness before closing a project.
  • Deliver a clear handoff summary to the designated internal account owner, including installed services, contacts, commitments, documentation, and any remaining open items.
  • Identify the customer's ongoing internal point of contact for post-installation service, repair, billing, or account needs; close the project record only after documentation and handoff are complete.
  • Help develop and maintain checklists, order-review standards, milestone definitions, communication templates, and closeout requirements.
  • Maintain accurate order records, status updates, issue logs, and recurring project reports; correct documentation gaps and keep commitments visible to responsible teams.
  • When workload permits, support related Business Operations and Service Delivery activities (order validation, readiness review, scheduling, status cleanup, billing verification) and recommend practical process improvements.
  • Follow company policies, quality and service-level standards, and confidentiality practices; perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, project coordination, telecommunications, or IT is preferred.
  • Entry-level or early-career candidates are appropriate; prior project management experience is not required.
  • Experience in customer service, operations, scheduling, order management, or administrative coordination is helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrated initiative, reliability, organization, sound judgment, and willingness to learn; ability to manage multiple orders, priorities, and deadlines at once.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, listening, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills; comfort learning new systems and technical concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 expected.
  • Ability to work independently within established processes, accept coaching, and drive follow-through across teams without direct reporting authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in telecommunications, broadband, fiber, ISP, managed services, or another technical service environment.
  • Experience supporting business customers or property stakeholders, coordinating orders, scheduling work, maintaining records, or following tasks through completion.
  • Basic knowledge of business, internet, voice, network, or MDU/multifamily operations, construction coordination, or cross-departmental service-delivery work.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. Participation in a rotating Saturday schedule is required.
  • Working hours are generally 8:00am to 5:00pm during normal business hours, with flexibility based on customer and business needs.
