Position Summary
The Project Coordinator (PC) works with Project and Program Managers to support the execution of project management activities to deliver client’s high priority projects on time and within budget. The Project Coordinator, under the direction of the Program/Project Manager will assist in the development of work plans, tracking the work progress against schedules, tracking project financial data, and the creation/presentation of management reports on project status and outcomes.
Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal)
- Captures and coordinates project meetings as requested, including scheduling, agenda management, meeting logistics and post meeting support, including notes and recording action items.
- Tracks activities, meeting action items and deliverables for projects.
- Aids Project Manager in creating project presentation materials, utilizing advanced features of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office tools as appropriate.
- Aids Project Manager in communicating project plans, deliverables and follow up.
- Manages the organization of project related documentation in applicable repository based on established PI and BD project management methodologies and practices.
- Ensures compatibility and consistency of work products with enterprise standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering with minimum of 2 years working for global corporation, preferably in regulated manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working for a global corporation
- Required: 1-year overall project experience, carrying out tasks and activities
- Required: Experience following a structured project management methodology on a project
- Required: Experience working with a PMO
- Required: Experience working with and presenting to project teams
- Required: 1 year working with cross-functional teams
- Desired: Experience with multi-site teams
- Required: Basic organizational, project planning, scheduling and risk management skills and demonstrated experience using project management tools and software (i.e.: Microsoft Project, and Project Server/Project Online).
- Required: Proficient in the use of all MS Office tools (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
- Desired: Experience in developing project repository structures and creation of core project deliverables
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment.
- The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates.
