About the role
The Project Coordinator contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers by supporting the project team during the planning, budgeting, construction, and post-construction phases. This role ensures projects meet CR Meyer’s safety guidelines, quality standards, schedule, and budget requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team in estimating and executing construction projects.
- Assist in preparing bids for customers using a general knowledge of construction principles and design specifications.
- Participate in implementing the CR Meyer Risk Control Plan and maintain a safe job site.
- Assist in preparing budgets and schedules for construction project execution.
- Prepare POs for project-related expenses, track labor hours, process expense sheets, and prepare invoicing.
- Track and maintain subcontracts and vendor information.
- Coordinate the movement of assigned equipment, tools, supplies, and other resources needed to complete the job.
- Assist in tracking productivity factors and document them for future reference.
- Keep the Project Manager informed of situations requiring attention and maintain open communication with the project team.
- Act as a backup to the Project Manager when needed.
- Participate in routine site visits to review budget status, determine progress, communicate with the on-site team, and ensure safety/compliance standards.
- Provide periodic updates and communicate with customers, project teams, field staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects stay within specifications, schedule, and budget.
- Assist in implementing proper QA/QC standards and “means and methods engineering” procedures within CR Meyer guidelines.
- Use CR Meyer-provided software to prepare required documents and project management updates.
- Participate in project close-out meetings and properly document completed projects for future reference.
- Wear all assigned PPE and observe CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
- Complete all related reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Represent the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction required, preferably with an emphasis in large-scale civil/structural projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects, and Primavera.
- Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines, including First Aid/CPR Certification, OSHA 30, and SafeStart.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Ability to travel to various project sites within the United States.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required due to project deadlines and demands.
