About the role
The Project Coordinator - AI & Data Projects plays a central role in coordinating AI research, training, and data programs. This position serves as a key liaison between leadership, research teams, and domain experts, ensuring workflows, requirements, schedules, and project communications remain organized and aligned. The role supports project execution, expert network growth, operational consistency, and continuous improvement across dynamic AI and data initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for AI and data projects, managing daily workflows and operational activities
- Facilitate communication among program leads, research teams, and domain experts
- Translate leadership objectives into clear guidelines, requirements, and actionable updates for expert teams
- Support the onboarding and engagement of domain experts as projects expand
- Participate in weekly business reviews, document meeting notes, track action items, and coordinate project calls
- Monitor project quality, identify operational issues, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
- Assist in developing, documenting, and refining project processes and operating guidelines
- Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks and coordinate resolution efforts
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics using Google Sheets and Excel
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely communication of project updates
- Adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and operational workflows
- Support continuous improvements in project operations, processes, and team coordination
Requirements
- United States-based
- Preferably a STEM or quantitatively oriented educational background
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or related roles involving large or cross-functional teams
- Direct experience with AI training-data, human-data, data operations, evaluation, or research programs
- Proven ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and distributed teams
- Proficiency with data management tools, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Familiarity with SQL
- Preferred knowledge of programming or software development concepts
- Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment
Pay
$45 to $70 per hour
