About the role
The Project Assistant role is the entry point into our DRE processing team. You'll work alongside Project Managers on active subdivision filings, learning the regulatory framework from the inside while taking ownership of the documentation, research, and coordination that keeps projects moving. Every senior person on our team (Project Managers, Reserve Analysts, Department Managers) started in this role. We hire this position to grow into the next one.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact between developers, municipal governments, utility companies, and state agencies.
- Conduct property and regulatory research to identify project requirements and risks before they become problems.
- Own project documentation. Ensure our filing systems (physical and digital) are accurate, current, and accessible because you keep them that way.
- Manage project timelines: maintain master inventory logs, track multiple deadlines, and coordinate reviews and follow-ups.
- Review technical documents, like maps, legal descriptions, development plans for compliance.
- Provide proactive support to Project Managers and contribute to team objectives daily.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or construction management is preferred.
- You must have at least two years of professional experience where you held real responsibility.
- You should be comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; you should also be able to navigate online databases and search tools.
- A background in real estate, escrow, title, construction, engineering, or mapping is a plus, but not required.
