Project Administrator (Non-Technical), Business Coordinator
Through the disciplines of Comparative Biomechanics, Evolution and Developmental Biology, Behavioral Neurobiology, and Vertebrate Paleontology, our mission is to explore animal form and function and how they change over the short time frame of an individual’s life history and the long time frame of the history of animal life.
About the role
This position reports to PI, Professor Paul Sereno and manages lab activities including overseeing the lab and PI scheduling, managing budgets, lab accounting and reconciliation duties, and project management for lab research projects and additional special projects as needed. The Project Administrator, Business Coordinator will also complete CT scanning for research projects, oversee and coordinate project management for lab exhibitions, and manage logistics for field expeditions.
The role provides business support for non-technical projects from conception to completion, performing administrative duties related to team assembly, work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Responsibilities
- CT scanning and logging.
- Scheduling and managing calendar.
- Planning and logistics for trips, conferences, field expeditions, and research trips.
- Scheduling, planning, and project management for exhibit management.
- Scheduling and project management for film-related projects.
- Preparing lab meeting agendas, note-taking, and project management.
- Lab accounting, reconciliation, and cash advance.
- Coordinating daily projects, including preparing and maintaining project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements.
- Supporting or independently performing administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, developing agendas, and preparing progress reports.
- Performing other related work as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
- 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous CT scanning experience.
- Project Management experience.

Pay
Hourly pay range: $28.85 - $36.06.
